Panoramic glass on all four, so nobody is stuck behind a post, and a canopy that means a wet Tuesday in February plays exactly like a dry one in June.
The clay courts are the only two within ten miles, and they are the reason half our members joined. Slower bounce, kinder on the knees.
Off-peak is before 17:00 on weekdays and after 18:00 at weekends. Prices are per court, so split four ways for padel.

Court hire at half price and booking opens a fortnight earlier.

Court included. Group sessions £14 a head, four to eight players.
Courts left empty without 12 hours' notice are charged in full — it is the only way the 7am slots stay available to people who will use them.
Weekday evenings between 18:00 and 20:00 are the busiest hours of the week and go about ten days ahead. Free parking on site, and the tram stop is a six-minute walk.
"I turned up on my own on a Tuesday not knowing a soul, got put into a four, and now I play twice a week with the same three people. That is the whole club, really."
No. Padel rackets and balls are free to borrow from reception, and most people play for months before buying one. Tennis rackets too, though the borrowed ones are strung for beginners.
Come to an open session — Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00, Sunday at 10:00. You pay per person, we put the fours together on the night, and they are mixed ability on purpose.
It is the easiest racket sport to start and the hardest to master. The walls keep the ball in play, so rallies last from the first game — which is why people who bounced off tennis tend to stay.
Trainers with a flat sole. Running shoes are fine on padel; the clay courts need flat soles rather than a deep tread, and we will lend you a pair if you turn up in the wrong ones.
Yes — all four padel courts together for two hours is £180 including rackets and a coach to run it. Sixteen people, and nobody has to be any good.
Padel plays as normal — all four are covered. Tennis courts drain quickly but we will move you or refund you if they are unplayable, and we ring rather than waiting for you to arrive.
Winter and summer leagues, open sessions, and the occasional cancelled court going cheap. About two emails a month.

The 19:00 open session is the one to come to. £12 a head, racket included, and roughly half the people there are also in their first month.
Tell us roughly when and we will come back with what is free. For open sessions and coaching, say so and we will put you on the list instead.
